Apologies for the abrupt hiatus, all.
My CTs have eaten up all my time, but they're officially over and done with, and I am resurfacing from the sea of notes and books and revision, thank god.
I am not looking forward to getting my results back; my papers and their responses are not pretty.
HOWEVER
The past couple days have been enjoyable, Valentine's included, surprisingly, but not for the obvious reason that's running through your mind. It was my last paper (Lit 1), so KarYee and I went down to town, beelined to Borders, and spent the rest of the day there, reading, browsing, talking and listening to the cds. I found Eclipse, so there was a chance for me to read a couple more pages before I got dragged off. For something that looks so mundane in words, it was fun. I am such a dork. Hah. And the next day was the girls' last papers, so we (again, for me) headed to Orchard. Initially, we planned to catch a movie, Sweeney Todd to be precise, but not all of us are eighteen yet, and the theatres that aren't as stringent in terms of ages restrictions have all stopped screening it already. I suggested Juno, but the rest weren't that interested, rats. I guess I'm going to watch it online then. So in the end, we just ended up strolling here and there and shopping. Well, most of it was done by me and Jel; the rest, especially Sarina, were so tired and dead on their feet that they merely tagged along and plopped down to rest wherever there were benches. Old women, the lot of them. (Just kidding, girls. Heh.)
Oh, and there was a surprisingly large number of japanese people around town that day. They were all sitting at the front of DFS, looking remarkably like well, refugees waiting for a food drop. Pleasingly enough, there were more of them, and younger ones, just across the overhead bridge at Far East. Unfortunately, all I could pick up from their conversation was that they were going to meet back up after 30 minutes. So much for having learnt the language; it seems like all my japanese has gone out the damn window. Anyway, Sarina cheered up immensely at the cute guys' presence, and dragged me to this lolita shop at the very end of a corridor called Haru. The stuff they have there were cute, and I found this amazing corset costume. We went to another jap store, Blood-somethingoranother. That was mostly goth-loli, but really nice all the same. Amirah actually found something she liked, which was rare, she doesn't usually go for such girly stuff. :D
And oh! I got my contacts done on that day as well! Shall have to go back the coming Friday to collect them, but I'm now trying out a sample pair they gave me. This attempt was much better than that botched time in Vancouver, where I stayed up till 3 in the morning before Uncle Henry could manage to pluck them out for me (a vacuum situation occured between my corneas and the lens hence they were sucked down and I couldn't remove the damn things). So people, don't be surprised when you see me without my glasses okay? ((:
WHY DO LONG WEEKENDS HAVE TO END SO QUICKLY? WHY??
